Tor Lodge and Applecross Trust

The Tor Lodge and Applecross Trust is offering a small number of grants to enable young people or new recruits to the industry to attend the World Foundry Congress, taking place in Krakow, Poland between the 23rd and 27th September 2018.

This prestige event includes two days of technical sessions covering all aspects of the industry from sand to metallurgical and production to management. There is also an extensive social programme to give delegates plenty of scope for networking - the congress offers participants an ideal opportunity to meet and learn from like-minded individuals working in the global cast metals industry, a real bonus for individuals and the companies they work for. There is also a full programme of works visits and a chance to visit the METAL Fair in Kielce - one of the world''s leading foundry exhibitions.

Please note that registration is required for the event, see http://www.73wfc.com/ for full details and on-line registration forms.

Five grants of £500 are available and will be offered to eligible applicants on a first come, first served basis.
