Committing to another year

Thursday, 29 June 2017

At the ICME AGM, held in Sutton Coldfield in May, ICME members voted for the existing national officers to remain in their roles for a further year.

The decision will enable the officers to continue their ongoing work with head office staff towards the delivery of the National Foundry Training Centre within the next year as part of the Elite Centre for Manufacturing Skills.

ICME would like to thank National President John Townsend FICME, Senior Vice President Trevor Ayre FICME and Junior Vice President Steve Hill FICME for their generous agreement to serve second terms in their roles. This will aid continuity and ensure the Institute’s efforts are focused on providing a world-class facility for training the current and future generations of engineers and technicians working in the foundry, patternmaking and associated sectors.
