Business Development and Marketing Manager

Location: Covering the whole UK, the successful applicant will need to be in the West Midlands office on a weekly basis.

Package: [Salary TBA] + car/car allowance + bonus

Overview
The position of Business Development and Marketing Manager for the Institute of Cast Metals Engineers (ICME) is to enable ICME transform into the principle supplier of training and professional development for the UK foundry industry. It will support the development of learners by providing training solutions which, in turn, will build a self-sustaining, advanced manufacturing training organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to ICME Chief Executive Representative this new role is expected to:
• Become a valuable contributor of knowledge, industry contacts, technical understanding and, importantly, information and intelligence about the training requirements of the foundry industry.
• Identify and develop new training business, to meet employer needs, that can be delivered by ICME.
• Promote professional development to individuals and companies throughout the foundry industry.
• Identify and develop new markets for ICME’s range of training products.
• Develop marketing and promotional strategies through extensive research
• Visit existing customers on a regular basis to maintain relationships and encourage demand for future training.
• Produce monthly KPI''s reports

The Ideal Candidate
A high calibre professional with a true passion for the foundry industry who is keen to see the industry develop further through focused training and skill transfer.
• Self-motivated, creative, dynamic with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proven success in a sales or business development role.
• Have either an in-depth knowledge of the foundry industry or can demonstrate the ability to gain the knowledge and creditability within a short timescale.
• A high attention to detail, excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to take advantage of modern digital marketing tools.
• Has a consultative approach to meeting the training needs of the foundry industry.
