Training Development Project

The Institute of Cast Metals Engineers is seeking applications from an individual or a company for a short term project over the next 18 months.

The project includes the need to:
Undertake market research to validate the training needs for the castings industry and identify gaps in current provision.
Design and develop a flexible and sustainable approach to the provision of training across the breadth of the industry at a range of levels and programme durations, working with awarding bodies, training providers and further and higher education organisations including, where necessary, new apprentice standards.
Establish and support employer-led teams to determine curriculum criteria and programme contents and develop a process to recruit and train assessors and trainers.
Lead the development and delivery of marketing and promotional campaigns to engage industry in training of employees and apprentices.
This project will require knowledge of the foundry industry as well as an understanding of the education/apprentice system.
